FAMILY MEDICATION TRACKER

One iPhone. Every family member’s medications, kept separate.

Why a family tracker instead of a list on the fridge

When more than one person in a household takes medication, the hard part is rarely remembering that a medicine exists. It’s knowing whether today’s dose was already given, who gave it, and which child it was for. Paper charts work until they’re left at home, and a shared note on a phone doesn’t remind anyone.

MedsGuardian keeps a record of every dose you mark as taken or skipped, for each person separately, and reminds you when the next dose is due.

What you can do

Create a profile for each person

Add a profile for each child, and for yourself if you take medications too. Medications, dose history, health readings, notes, doctors, and appointments stay inside the right person’s profile, so you never mix up whose instructions are whose.

See everyone’s day in one view

The Everyone view lists upcoming doses and appointments across all profiles, with the person’s name on each item. Choose a single person when you want to focus on just their medications and history.

Get reminders that name the person

Set reminders at fixed times, on chosen weekdays, every few days, or every few hours, or mark a medicine as taken only when needed. Each reminder shows who the dose is for. From the reminder you can mark it taken, snooze it, or skip it.

Keep a dose history you can share

Look back at what was recorded instead of relying on memory. When a doctor asks how a medication has been going, choose the person, review the report, and export it from the app.

Record health readings per person

Log readings such as weight, temperature, and blood pressure for each person. Apple Health can sync supported readings for the iPhone owner’s profile; children’s readings are entered manually.

What it doesn’t do

Being clear about limits helps you decide if it fits:

If two adults share medication duties, agree on who holds the phone that keeps the record, or export the report so the other caregiver can check what was given. Our guide to managing medications for more than one child has more ideas.

Your records stay on your iPhone

MedsGuardian doesn’t require an account. The records you enter are stored on your device and are not uploaded to a SimpleApp4U cloud database. Read the privacy policy for details on Apple Health, subscriptions, and medication catalog searches.

Prefer paper?

Use our free printable medication log to write down each person’s medicines and doses. Many families use both: the app for reminders, and a printed list in a bag for appointments.

Common questions

Can I track medications for my kids and myself in one app?

Yes. Create a profile for each person you care for, and one for yourself if you need it. Each profile keeps its own medications, dose history, readings, and notes, and the Everyone view shows upcoming doses for all profiles together.

Can my partner see the same profiles on their phone?

Not in the current version. Family profiles live on one iPhone, and there are no shared caregiver accounts or syncing between devices. You can export a medication report for a person and share it.

Do reminders say who the medication is for?

Yes. Reminders cover all active profiles and name the person each dose belongs to, so switching the selected profile does not stop anyone’s reminders.

Is the family tracker free?

Family profiles are free. Free use includes one medication across the whole app, plus one note, one doctor, one pharmacy, and one custom alert. Premium removes these limits for all profiles.
